PKP (Pashupati Kalyan Parishad) is a non-profit organization committed to animal welfare, located in Udaipur City, South Rajasthan, India. Founded in March 1997 by Mrs. Suman Bose, PKP has diligently served its community with a focus on animal welfare.
Since its inception, PKP has operated a Gaushala, a shelter specifically designed for stray, abandoned, and trafficked animals, providing a safe haven away from the threat of slaughter. Over the past 25 years, this facility has remained steadfast in its mission, housing and caring for approximately 250 cows, bulls, bullocks, and calves at any given time. Additionally, the shelter accommodates buffaloes, donkeys, dogs, and rabbits, all of which contribute to the diverse animal welfare efforts of PKP.
PKP's infrastructure includes six well-maintained animal sheds, open area dedicated for movement of the cows, a storeroom meticulously stocked with dry fodder, an administrative office for coordinating operations, and residential quarters.
The organization's holistic approach ensures that each animal receives proper care and attention, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes their well-being. PKP's enduring commitment to animal welfare stands as a testament to its dedication to serving the community and protecting the vulnerable creatures in its care.
